A few people have asked how I colour and so I thought this week I would do a short walk-through to how I normally colour my images.
I start off sketching the image out roughly.
Then I ink it and rub out the pencil lines to make it all neat, never colour in with markers over pencil lines because that will look like someone shaded 50 shades of crap over your drawing.

I start off using a light purple to colour the shadows to then work over at a later stage.
I then start layering up the skin tones using yellows/pinks and flesh colours.

Half way through I start to add in some darker purples as well to add depth to the colours and image. Not too much though otherwise it will start looking like Barney (Who remembers Barney?)![IMG_5178](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_tRBUQnZ8Elw_V9kYUN_lbdkryOWUQxhDjHH_L3vx9rgPW-9SZwFbtGkiTTmbhM8dqtxYRacJ1xg28XBCWsy-6dktmo-iryGBPhR6B9afm61SE89V5bP0pPkSUJ5mOiaozzmg0=s0-d)

At this stage I wouldn't mind a cheeky tipple of the JD he's holding...
I start to colour in the rest of the outfit and use a pencil to add texture and shading to the sheer shirt as markers would have been too flat a texture for that.
Just need to colour the shoes and then I'm done!
I hope this was at least slightly interesting to read or look at. If anyone would like a post in the future for something you're interested in that I do feel free to ask me!
